As a Senior Systems Engineer at the University of Malta, I’ve spent over 15 years supporting research, education, and innovation in the field of materials engineering. My work combines electronics, systems integration, and lab management to keep complex environments running smoothly — from high-end characterisation tools such as operating the scanning electron microscope, nano-scale testers and x-ray diffractometers to hands-on troubleshooting and upgrades.
With a background in industrial electronics and electrical engineering, I take a practical, problem-solving approach to my role. I enjoy working with both hardware and people — maintaining equipment, supporting students and researchers, and collaborating with academic and industry partners to get things done.
I believe in creating a structured, well-organised workspace where technology supports progress. Whether it’s setting up systems, training users, or helping shape new projects, I’m driven by curiosity, responsibility, and a desire to make things work better. Clear communication, continuous improvement, and a strong technical foundation are values I bring to every part of my work.
I'm proud to be part of a department that’s growing and evolving, and I look forward to contributing to its future.
