Applications for our February and October intakes have been officially open since the third week in November. You can submit your application online. The deadlines for submission of applications vary according to the intake and courses. We encourage all international applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible. This is an interdisciplinary programme designed to assist you to expand your perception, employ creative skills, develop ideas individually and within teams, sustain a creative climate and manage innovation. It introduces methods, processes and concepts which help to identify opportunities and cultivate appropriate skills and attitudes. The course offers a blend of theory, research and discussions, focusing on five main subject areas: creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, critical thinking and foresight. It brings together local and international students from diverse educational backgrounds and disciplines.

During their first two years of the course, students are required to register for 60 ECTS credits in compulsory (44 ECTS) and elective (16 ECTS) study-units. Students are strongly advised to divide the 60 ECTS credits equally over the first and second year of the course.

This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 and by the Bye-Laws for the award of the Master in Creativity and Innovation under the auspices of the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking.

The aim of the programme is to create a process to develop and promote imaginative, flexible and practical thought and action by:

  • Developing a more creative attitude;
  • Improving their ability to respond practically and creatively to problems and opportunities;
  • Learning a variety of approaches designed to develop ideas, manage innovation and apply the knowledge and skills gained;
  • Being better placed to help establish an organisational climate in which creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation can be fostered;
  • Understanding a variety of approaches to restructuring organisations;
  • Learning strategies to deal with the constantly changing landscape.
