The Bachelor of Commerce (Part-time) programme is held at the University of Malta - Gozo Campus only and is intended for applicants who have successfully completed the Diploma in Commerce (which is comparable to the first year of the undergraduate degree programme offered on a full-time basis at the University of Malta).
The overall objectives of the Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate degree programme is to provide participants with a high-quality and a career-oriented education for a diverse student population. This programme covers a range of topics in Economics and Management and aims to provide participants with a broad understanding of the complexity and dynamics present in contemporary business and public organizations. It trains the participants to gain the conceptual skills and an analytical approach necessary to tackle the problems facing organizations in today’s environment.
The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of the Diploma in Commerce awarded by the University of Malta. Subject to the provisions of the Principal Regulations, such applicants may be allowed by the Board to transfer these credits to the Course. The number of credits so transferred shall not exceed 60 ECTS credits.
The admission requirements are applicable for courses commencing in October 2019.

Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Commerce degree course, the participants will have gained a deep and broad understanding of the two areas of study which they would have followed. They will have acquired the conceptual skills and the analytical approach necessary to tackle problems in the areas of their specializations. They will be capable of developing effective strategies, managing risks and take effective decisions in their future careers.
The target audience are students who want to enter a career in an area of Commerce or of Public Administration, who are already in possesion of a Diploma in Commerce.
Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce qualify for a variety of roles in private, public and non profit organizations. A Bachelor’s degree prepares the participants to enter most of the various fields of commerce, public enterprises and related areas at mid-level positions.
The Bachelor of Commerce degree gives graduates access to the Bachelors of Commerce (Honours) programme in one of the areas of specialization if eligible in terms of the Bye-Laws for the course.
