Applications for our February and October intakes have been officially open since the third week in November. You can submit your application online. The deadlines for submission of applications vary according to the intake and courses. We encourage all international applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible. The Science Commencement Programme is a year-long basic introductory course that prepares you for a holistic foundation of science. Among the 60ECTS credits, you will acquire knowledge from several foci, ranging from algebra and fundamental physics, to English writing and research methods, to name a few. By being introduced to key concepts of different fields of scientific studies, this preparatory programme will allow you to enter a foundation course which will lead you to an undergraduate study of your choice, provided that the right requirements are met. This will be the first stepping stone for a rewarding career.

This programme of study is governed by the Certificate in Foundation Studies Course Regulations, 2014 under the auspices of the International School for Foundation Studies.

Some of the learning outcomes that you will be able to learn are the:

Classification of major bones on the basis of shape and location.
Characteristics of different biomolecules.
Identification of different types of bonding and to clearly distinguish between them in terms of bond type, strength, and participating atoms.
Reviewing of mathematical techniques and topics covered at a lower level and the consolidation of this knowledge.
Overview of Euclidean Geometry.
