If you're working in automation, robotics, or control and want to upskill with a flexible, high-level course, this award is designed for you. Delivered entirely online, it introduces you to core concepts in both continuous-time and discrete-time control systems. You’ll explore how to model dynamic systems using transfer functions and state-space methods, analyze system stability and performance, and design controllers such as PID and state feedback regulators. With practical applications in industries like semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, maritime, and water treatment, this course equips you with relevant tools for real-world challenges. Through simulations and hands-on projects, you'll gain experience using software like MATLAB and Simulink, strengthening your problem-solving and technical communication skills. This course aligns with the Department’s focus on intelligent systems and is part of the MSc in Intelligent Systems, Signals and Control.
