The M.A. by research in Italian provides you with the chance to write an advanced and lengthy piece of original work on a topic of your choosing involving the Italian language, its literature and culture under the expert guidance and supervision of the Faculty of Arts. If you would like to explore this rich language and its origin culture and have an original approach or hypothesis, this M.A. offers you the chance to showcase your project while improving your academic writing.

As a graduate with an MA in Italian, you will be able to enter a career, both locally and internationally, as a translator, teacher, editor, proof-reader, writer, librarian, journalist or cultural manager. You will also have transferable skills, such as the ability to carry out and organise research, which will aid you in office positions with established companies.
If you are interested in pursuing an academic career, and are seeking to hone your research skills and further your studies, then you may enrol in a doctorate programme offered at the University of Malta, or at a foreign university abroad.
