Completing the Master of Arts in Transdisciplinary Childhood Studies has been a profoundly enlightening and rewarding journey for me. The course offers an in-depth exploration of crucial topics, from understanding the Convention on the Rights of the Child to examining the impacts of poverty and social exclusion on children's well-being. It delves into child development and learning and provides rich cultural and historical perspectives on childhood. Additionally, it highlights the importance of children's voices and their active participation, as well as the significance of resilience and well-being in children. These modules are just a few of the many fascinating subjects covered, all of which contribute to a comprehensive understanding of childhood from multiple angles.

This program is exceptionally well-suited for anyone who works with or for children. It uniquely addresses situations from the perspectives of children, providing a much-needed shift in focus. As a teacher, this course was a significant eye-opener, particularly in understanding how vital it is to listen to and amplify the voices of children.

The module on the Convention on the Rights of the Child offered deep insights into the legal frameworks designed to protect and promote children's rights, while the discussions on poverty highlighted the socio-economic challenges that impact children's lives and learning. The child development and learning modules were instrumental in deepening my understanding of the cognitive and emotional growth of children, equipping me with strategies to better support their educational journey.

From the outset, I was impressed by the depth of knowledge and expertise among both faculty members and fellow students. The curriculum provided a comprehensive overview of resilience theory and its application within educational settings, covering a diverse range of topics such as trauma-informed practices, socio-emotional learning, and inclusive education strategies.

One of my first impressions was the emphasis on interdisciplinary perspectives, which allowed a holistic understanding of resilience and its complex interactions within educational contexts. This program is designed in such a way that it will facilitate the core understanding of mental health in the educational setting and how to foster resilience in both children and adults. It is my hope and dream to establish the significance of building resilience in the education sector of my country and create a better setting for both students and teachers.

A beautiful campus with wonderful faculty and stuff, diverse student body from all over the world, friendly locals and with picturesque views everywhere, there is no better place to start a new journey.
