Post/s of Part-Time Research Support Officer I

Department of Education Studies, Faculty of Education

1. The Department of Education Studies requires the services of a Research Support Officer I.
   
   
   
2. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in the domain of education and particular interest in migration related issues.
   
   
   
3. This post will be for a period from 29^th September 2025 until 31 December 2025, and will be expected to work a total maximum of 80 hours. The Research Support Officer I will be remunerated at the rate of €12.72 per hour.
   
   
   
4. The selected candidate must be living in Malta for the period of employment.
   
   
   
5. Candidates must submit their letter of application, a copy of their curriculum vitae and a copy of their certificates to Dr Louise Chircop (louise.chircop@um.edu.mt) by not later than Tuesday, 23^rd September 2025.

Further Information

1. The following is a list of tasks that the appointee may be required to:
   1. Administrative research support;
   2. Assistance with literature search and literature review;
   3. Data collection, preparation and analysis;
   4. Assistance with the organisation of project documentation;
   5. Other administrative duties.

2. The appointee is expected to work:
   1. on a part-time basis and
   2. at such places and during such hours as may be determined by the University authorities.

3. The selection procedure will involve:
   1. scrutiny of qualifications and experience claimed and supported by testimonials and/or certificates (copies to be included with the application);
   2. short-listing; and
   3. an interview and/or extended interview.

4. The appointment will be subject to a probationary period, and to the provisions of the Statutes, Regulations and Bye-Laws of the University which are now or which may hereafter be in force.
