The Master in Teaching and Learning (MTL) Art prepares students for a career in Art Education, working as an art teacher in the primary, secondary sectors or other sectors of formal or non-formal education.
In October, 2024, the course will also be offered on a part-time basis. Both the full-time course (2 years) and the part-time course (3 years) offer the same study-units, preparing students in areas such as methodology, history and theory of art education, studio inquiry in various media, interdisciplinary practices and art criticism and theory.
Students' dissertation in this subject specialisation can also be project-based, linking creative work with other research methods.
