A teaching career in Home Economics will give you the exciting opportunity of influencing others you engage with, to change behaviours and improve lifestyles.
The Home Economics office runs the Master’s in Teaching and Learning specialising in Home Economics, or in Textiles and Fashion, or as a double specialisation in the two areas. In these degrees students are given a sound pedagogic base to be able to teach in various settings and are supported throughout. Graduates can find employment in state and non-state schools and other educational institutions.
Over the years, our graduates have successfully embarked on careers in areas such as teaching or wellness or taking an entrepreneurial route, and opening their own business. Others have pursued further studies locally or abroad becoming nutritionists, health promoters, family studies professionals or members of school management teams.
If sustainable, healthy, harmonious living is what you seek for yourself and others, then a degree from in Home Economics is right for you.
