Students will be able to apply pedagogical techniques from a variety of established traditional and contemporary practices, explore educational best practices, plan innovative methodologies and teaching strategies which facilitate learning, and design evaluative procedures. Additionally, the Music Course is intended to meet the needs of diverse learners through examining the pedagogical implications and impact of digital technological developments in music education. The goal of the course is to prepare trainees to teach in a 21st century music classroom.
Prospective trainees will experience instruction on campus, besides having the opportunity to observe and teach in the classroom. Placements in Primary and Secondary schools will allow students to learn from different contexts in an effective, fruitful and successful way.
