Craft, Creativity, Critique Postgraduate Symposium
27 – 28 March 2023
Department of English, University of Malta
‘Craft, Creativity, Critique’ is the next instalment in a series of annual symposia organised by postgraduate students with the Department of English at the University of Malta. The conference is open to all local postgraduate students and alumni as well as postgraduate students and postdocs internationally.
In line with previous years, this symposium aims to foster a rich and interdisciplinary conversation that benefits speakers and audience alike. This year’s theme, focusing on the creative process from inception to reception, brings together various strands of thought and practices, highlighting the diverse roles, voices, and positions at stake in the work of art and its influences. If craft, creativity, and critique are products of historical periods and contexts, they equally also produce such contexts, and this interplay shall be at the forefront of this symposium organised by students, for students.
