About
2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the setting up of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work. To commemorate this, the Department is organising a one-day conference entitled:
Sharing the Social Work Journey: From education to practice, together.
The aims of the conference are to:
- Increase understanding and appreciation of the social work profession, including the roles and identities that make it unique.
- Raise awareness of the value of social work education, and to receive feedback from practitioners that informs the continuous strengthening of the Department’s programmes.
- Capture and commit to memory the roots of social work in Malta.
