Tech Trek: A Teen Tech Adventure @ University of Malta

Are you curious about how technology is shaping the world? Want to build cool stuff, learn new skills, and have fun doing it? Then Tech Trek is for you!

This summer, join us for Tech Trek: A Teen Tech Adventure, a five-day hands-on bootcamp where you’ll get to choose your own tech project and bring it to life with the help of experienced mentors. Whether you're into coding, smart devices, data, or AI, there's something here for you.

Who is it for?
This bootcamp is ideal for 13–15-year-olds eager to dive deeper into the world of tech.

What You’ll Get

  • Choose your own tech journey: Dive into exciting project topics like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Game Design, Big Data, and Creative Coding.

  • Real project work: Learn by doing! Build something meaningful from start to finish.

  • Mentor support: Our tech-savvy tutors will guide you at every step.

  • Team fun: Collaborate with other teens, make new friends, and develop your teamwork superpowers.

  • Cool tech, real impact: Use technology to solve real-world problems that matter to you.

Bootcamp Structure

  • Day 1: Kickoff, team-building, and project selection

  • Days 2–5: Build your project with daily support, hands-on workshops, and feedback

AI for Good
Train a smart machine to recognise patterns, make predictions, or generate content. Use AI to tackle a challenge you care about—climate, health, education, or even sports!

Big Data Detectives
Dig into real-world data to uncover stories, spot trends, and create cool visualisations. See how data drives decisions—from sports to social media to city planning.

Code Breakers
Solve logic challenges, master coding puzzles, and build your problem-solving toolkit. Perfect for curious minds who love figuring things out.

Game Changers
Design and prototype a digital or board game that entertains and makes a difference. Your mission: create a game that helps others learn, think, or take action.

Smart Stuff (IoT Explorers)
Build smart systems using sensors and microcontrollers! Learn how IoT is powering smart homes, wearable tech, and sustainable cities—and design your own mini solution.
