About us

The Department of Communications & Computer Engineering encompasses the areas of computer systems and communication systems, computer networks, and the signal processing necessary to analyse, model, process, code, transmit and decode multimedia data travelling over fixed and wireless networks.

The Department of Communications and Computer Engineering (CCE) was created when the Department of Electrical Engineering was divided into three departments in 1995.

Our Department contributes to the B.Sc. Computer Engineering, B.Sc. Computing Science, M.Sc. ICT in Telecommunications, and the M.Sc. ICT in Signal Processing and Machine Learning. We offer supervision to Ph.D. candidates in various research areas and support other degree programmes at UM by offering introductory study-units in the areas of computer networks, signal processing, computer vision, and communications theory.
