The Undergraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics for Maltese Sign Language (il-Lingwa tas-Sinjali Maltija, LSM) will begin in autumn 2025.  

This course is for people who already have advanced skills in LSM and many years of lived experience in the Sign Language community. 

Is LSM your first or preferred language? Please apply!  

If you are over 23, you can show a range of evidence to qualify for university entrance.  

You will have to take an LSM skills test as part of the application process.  

In this course, you will learn about sign linguistics and other skills for teaching LSM.

This course does not teach LSM.  If you're interested in learning LSM, you may consider enrolling in courses offered by the University of Malta (available to university students), or by reaching out to the Maltese Sign Language Council (Kunsill tal-Lingwa tas-Sinjali Maltija - KLSM).
