PREVEX – Training Platform on the Prevention of Emotional and Sexual Abuse Among Youth

The PREVEX project is co-funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Programme (Agreement Number 2021-1-FR01-KA220-HED-000027598) with a total budget of EUR 345,014.00.

he PREVEX project aims to update academic knowledge on violent, criminal and social dimensions of sexual deviance and to implement a platform of resources and specific courses. The project is based on existing cooperation between universities and European networks for the prevention of sexist and sexual violence in Europe. It relies on the established skills of the partners in training and pedagogical engineering, which will enable them to train trainers and to participate in the implementation of sexual education policies.

The PREVEX project aims to develop coherent training plans to build new skills in the prevention of gender-based and sexual violence among adolescents and to propose new multilingual tools to better equip universities in their approach to emotional and sexual education in Europe.

The PREVEX project therefore aims to:

a. build a synthesis and a prospective in terms of contents and practices.

b. characterise the pedagogical approaches and evaluate the impact of new training courses adapted to Popular Education situations.

c. produce resources for cases of gender-based and sexual violence.

d. train professionals capable of multiplying the actions and improving the skills of young people.

e. build interdisciplinary bridges in the framework of social studies of deviant phenomena in modern sexuality.
