Audio-visual content

Audio-visual content helps in creating long-lasting impressions.

Photos and videos are key to portraying the UM culture, diversity and vibrant campus life. The spirit of the brand depends on the photos used and the video produced for marketing and communication campaigns.

Videos

Videos should be of good quality with clear and engaging audio. If you intend to create video material:

  • ensure that there are no copyright issues before the video is passed on for posting. Written consent of the person/s appearing in the video must be obtained beforehand. Consent form  
  • observe to the UM brand and refer to the section 'Videographic Style' on the Brand Manual
  • all UM videos are posted on the UM YouTube Channel

For advice on producing a video and/or if you would like to use our services, fill in and submit the Marketing request form.

Photos

Photos should be of good quality and look as natural as possible. If you intend to use photos on your entity's website and/or on social media:

  • ensure that there are no copyright issues. Written consent of the person/s appearing in the photos must be obtained beforehand. Consent form  
  • observe to the UM brand and refer to the section 'Photographic Style' on the Brand Manual

Note about photos on social media
You can upload photos directly on your entity's social media. The editor of the social networking site can upload or tag photos only with the written consent of the person/s appearing in the photos. Consent form

If a University entity wishes to upload some photos but does not yet have a social medium or does not wish to have one as yet, contact us so that your photos are posted on the main UM social media instead.
