The Laboratory has a number of educational simulation models targeted at assisting the training of undergraduate students in the skills pertaining to clinical examination of the obstetrics and gynaecological examinations. These facilities further provide training in the mechanisms of delivery and in episiotomy repair. Students are assigned formal teaching sessions using these facilities. Bookings for using the Simulation Laboratory should be made with the Departmental Secretary.
Our Department has a collection of gynaecological pathological specimens and speciality-related instruments. The historical collection also includes a series of anatomical models pertaining to foetal development and old obstetric and gynaecological instruments. A labelled catalog of these can be downloaded.
