Overview

This session covers the new terminology and features introduced in the latest version of WISEflow. It will assist academics to build examination papers that contain essay-type questions, multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions and or true/false questions directly on WISEflow using FLOWmulti. It will also show how some of these question types may be set up to be automatically assessed by WISEflow. Furthermore, this session will delve into the use of the content bank feature of WISEflow, which enables the author to create a repository of questions which can later be used in creating examination papers. A new feature that allows collaboration between examiners when setting an exam paper will also be covered.

Note that: 

• FLOWmulti does not allow the use of plagiarism detection software. However, plagiarism detection is possible with FLOWassign.
• FLOWassign can only be used for Remote Exam purposes, while FLOWmulti can be used for both Remote (as an Open Book exam) and Physical Exam purposes (normally as a Closed Book Exam, using the Lockdown Browser).

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will

• learn the new terminology and features in the latest version of WISEflow.
• create and automate exams using different question types in FLOWmulti.
• use the content bank and collaborate with others when creating exam papers in WISEflow.
