Overview

This session will explore the value and procedures of Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs), and Embargoes, and how research support tools can facilitate in the protection of research or protect information or materials obtained from, or provided to, an external source.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will

• identify when MTAs, NDAs, and Embargoes are necessary.
• understand the key terms and essential information that should be included in agreements.
• navigate issues related to label licences and human materials.
• implement best practices for the execution of these agreements.
• understand the concept of Embargoes and determine their appropriate use.
• follow the University of Malta's procedures for implementing MTAs, NDAs, and Embargoes.
