This session is designed to provide academics with a comprehensive understanding of the university's research ethics and procedures. Participants will gain insight into the ethical considerations and regulatory requirements that guide responsible research practices.

The session will be divided into two main components:

  1. Exploring research ethics: We will explore the core principles of research ethics, focusing on key concepts such as informed consent, confidentiality, and the ethical treatment of participants. The discussion will also cover best practices for handling and storing sensitive research data.

  2. A demo of the URECA (University Research Ethics and Compliance Application) online form: Participants will receive a step-by-step walkthrough of the URECA online form.
