Plagiarism is unacceptable. The University Assessment Regulations, 2009 define plagiarism as 'the unacknowledged use, as one's own, of work of another person, whether or not such work has been published, and as may be further elaborated in Faculty or University guidelines'. This means that you should always reference your sources. Failure to do so will result in serious repercussions. 
Students should be aware of the implications of plagiarism and of the University’s policy on the matter. Please note that you should not reproduce material from your own previous essays -- this, too, constitutes plagiarism.
