Ritianne is a Registered Educational Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Junior College, University of Malta. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology (M.Psy) from the University of Malta and a Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Practice from the Institute of Family Therapy (IFT-Malta). Her professional experience spans various contexts, including paediatric outpatient clinics, community-based mental health services, and educational settings.
Her work primarily involves conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to identify children’s strengths and needs, monitor developmental progress, and recommend provisions for classroom support and examination access arrangements. Ritianne’s main client group comprises children and adolescents aged 2 to 18 years presenting with behavioural challenges, learning difficulties, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition, Global Developmental Delay, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and specific learning disorders (dyslexia/dyscalculia). She also provides consultations for parents on child development, parenting practices, and managing challenging behaviours. Ritianne places particular emphasis on school-based interventions as a means of fostering safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments that strengthen collaboration between home, school, and community systems. In addition, she has experience delivering therapeutic interventions to promote the wellbeing of both parents and children.
Beyond her clinical practice, Ritianne contributes to parent education through the design and delivery of courses on developmental needs, positive parenting, and strategies that enhance parent–child relationships while promoting children’s social and emotional development. In her academic role, she lectures in Psychology as part of the Junior College, University of Malta.
