CDERN Connect – Connecting Students to Research Through Engagement and Training

The Chronic Disease Epidemiology Research Network (CDERN) is committed to fostering a research-driven environment where students can explore their academic interests under expert guidance. The principal investigator is dedicated to providing students with a supportive space to develop their research skills, encouraging them to pursue studies aligned with their interests while receiving structured mentorship throughout the research process.

As part of this commitment, Dr Cuschieri has developed and delivers the Degree Plus course, DGP0118: An Introduction to Health Research – From Idea to Publication. This course is designed to engage students in research from the early stages, equipping them with essential skills to formulate research questions, design studies, and navigate the process of conducting and publishing research. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, CDERN Connect ensures that students are empowered to take an active role in research, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of health.
