The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) supports researchers at all stages of their career and across all disciplines, from life-saving healthcare to 'blue-sky' science. In addition, the MSCA also support researchers interested in working with industry through industrial doctorates schemes and staff exchange programmes. Researchers can also opt for funding aimed to enhance their experience abroad in another research institution.
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) covers a wide range of fields, from basic research up to market take-up and innovation services. Funding duration is 12-24 months. The postdoctoral researcher must submit the proposal, supported by the host supervisor and RSSD.
MSCA-PF eligibility criteria:
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships grant, if awarded, covers two years' salary, a mobility allowance, research costs and overheads for the host institution.
Researchers interested in establishing joint doctoral projects should consider the Doctoral Networks. Joint programmes can be set up with other universities, companies and other research institutes. Duration of programmes is four years.
Staff Exchanges provide funding support short-term exchange between researchers interested in gaining experience in a different research institute, university or company located in a different country worldwide. The duration of the stay can range from 1 to 12 months. Researchers must engage in research and innovation projects for at least 6 months prior to the placement. Then, they have to return and pass on their knowledge to their peers at the University of Malta.
