The lecture starts by outlining key problem areas in contemporary healthcare systems and the pressures driving the need for innovation. It then highlights the relevance of the healthcare context. Building on this, the course introduces innovation systems in healthcare, focusing on the interaction between stakeholders, institutions, and regulatory environments. The lecture subsequently examines the digital transformation of healthcare. Finally, it discusses digital health applications, with particular attention to data-driven solutions and the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.Organised by the department of Health Systems Management and Leadership and led by Prof Dr Stefanie Steinhauser.
