Given the multifaceted, transdisciplinary nature of addiction, the programme of study explores the phenomenon of addictive behaviour through the application of different conceptual models and various disciplinary positions. The programme will engage significantly with advances in international and national regulatory systems, evidence-based policy, prevention, intervention and recovery, allowing students to develop their research skills to produce a high-quality dissertation in the final year of study. The target group for recruitment into this programme includes graduates who wish to develop a specialisation in addiction as well as all those working in the addiction field who seek to further develop their competencies.
