On 11 March, the event Borma Tbaqaq: Il-Lingwa tal-Kċina was held at the University of Malta Library. The short theatrical scene explored questions about women’s rights, safety, and the legal protections against domestic violence, encouraging reflections on stories often hidden beneath the surface.

SEA-EU International Week: Equity and Inclusion
From 16 to 20 February 2026, the SEA-EU International Week took place, featuring a thought-provoking event on Equity and Inclusion focused on advancing equity and inclusion across diverse communities. Professor JosAnn Cutajar, as Chair of GESDC, introduced GESDC and presented its work on the Gender+ Equity Plan 2022–2026.

The gender and Sexual Diversity Committee Chair and Co-Chair from the University of MALTA have published a significant paper addressing the normalization of Sexual harassment in higher education. The study explored the challenges faced by students and staff and emphasized the need for ongoing efforts to combat these issues within academic institutions.
