World Food Day - 16 October

2025

Hand in hand for better food and a better future! was the theme for World Food Day 2025. UM's contribution to this special day stemmed from one of the initiatives undertaken on the occasion of Sustainable Gastronomy Day (18 June): over 130 members of staff responded to a short survey. The responses were collated in an online booklet entitled Choosing our food .

On this occasion UM gave life to an online publication The Mediterranean Sustainable kitchen: A recipe collection. This was the result of an invitation sent out to the UM community on Sustainable Gastronomy Day to send in recipes which promote sustainable gastronomy.

The publication is online and available for download.
