Children's Understanding of the World through Environmental Education
UG
This study unit is about implementing ESD in the early years. Here, students learn about how to implement sustainability practices in the early years and create sustainable resources that are appropriate for young children. This study-unit focuses on fostering attitudes and values essential for sustainable development and consequently on ESD. Through interactive, learner-centred sessions, students critically evaluate their lifestyles and choices, embracing environmental education as a lived perspective rather than a learned subject. Students are exposed to ESD programmes available in schools through which they gain the skills and experience needed to engage their future pupils in active, participatory approaches to ESD.

Focuses on engaging youth and communities in sustainable development practices. SDGs: 4 (Quality Education), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
