Each awarding Faculty/Institute/ Centre/School has its own academic dress. Please make sure that the gown and colours correspond to the information below (refer to Hood Colours accordian). You can also rent your gown from MUHC, as follows.
Kindly book your academic dress as early as possible by accessing the online booking form, or by filling in the form at the University Merchandise & Books Shop (at Students’ House - between the two front doors of the Canteen.) Opening hours at the shop are Monday to Thursday (except Public Holidays) between 08.30 and 12.45.
Please make sure to fill in all the details correctly to ensure that you are given the right academic dress on collection.
With the MUHC gown booking fees you have the opportunity to include a €3 donation to the University’s Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT). While you may opt out of this initiative, your generosity is greatly appreciated and donations will go towards the funding of specialised medical research. Further information about RIDT can be found online.
You are encouraged to book your gown even if you have recently completed the programme you are following but are still awaiting final results. In the event that you are not allowed to graduate during the November 2026 ceremonies, you will be entitled to a refund.
Applications for refunds should be sent by email to gowns@muhc.com.mt by no later than noon of Wednesday, 18 November 2026 (the last day of Undergraduate ceremonies).
Donations to RIDT are NOT refundable.
