Important information about the academic dress to be worn during your graduation ceremony

Each awarding Faculty/Institute/ Centre/School has its own academic dress. Please make sure that the gown and colours correspond to the information here. Gowns must be rented from MUHC as follows.

How to book

Kindly book your academic dress as early as possible by accessing the booking form or by filling in the form at the University Merchandise Shop, (at University House (Students’ House) between the two front doors of the Canteen.)
Please make sure to fill in all the details correctly to ensure that you are given the right academic dress on collection.

RIDT donations

The MUHC gown booking fees include a €3 donation to the University’s Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT). While you may opt out of this initiative, your generosity is greatly appreciated and donations will go towards the funding of specialised medical research. Refund policy

You are encouraged to book your gown even if you have recently completed the programme you are following but are still awaiting the final results. In the event that you are not allowed to graduate during the March 2025 ceremonies, you will be entitled to a refund.

Applications for refunds should be sent by email to gowns@muhc.com.mt by no later than noon of Friday, 21st March 2025 (the last day of Postgraduate ceremonies).  Donations to RIDT are NOT refundable.
