As from October 2024, the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies will be offering free interpreting services for UM delegation visits, guest lectures, campus tours, practical sessions both on and off campus, seminars and events, as an opportunity for the Interpreting students to practise.

This is an interesting experience for your guests and students to see how interpreting works, and to speak the language they are most comfortable with. In addition, it gives the Interpreting students the opportunity to practise in a real-life setting. Interpreting will be offered from English into Maltese and vice versa, and depending on the students’ language profiles, it may also be offered from languages such as French, Italian, Spanish and German into Maltese.
