This section gives an overview of opportunities to study with the Centre.
Master of Science in Clinical Electrophysiology (Neurophysiology)
This course was developed by the Centre to provide advanced training in the recording, analysis and clinical interpretation of electrophysiological signals such as electroencephalography, electromyography, electroneurography, electrocardiography and evoked potentials. This is a part-time evening course taught over 6 semesters. The course is mostly taught, but includes a research element, as well as practical experience with specialised equipment. It prepares students for careers in clinical neurophysiology, intra-operative neuromonitoring, or roles in research and industry, particularly in areas related to medical devices and biomedical signal analysis. More information about the course is available here.
Clinical and Physiological Data Analysis Course
This summer course covers a wide range of topics designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of clinical and physiological data acquisition and analysis, delivered by experts with practical experience in their respective fields. The course covers electroencephalogram (EEG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data recording, as well as an introduction to signal processing, MATLAB, and EEGLab.
Study Units Developed by the Centre
Study units developed by the Centre other than those forming part of the Master of Science in Clinical Electrophysiology (Neurophysiology) course.
CBC5112 - Advanced Signal and Image Processing for Physiological Measurement and Medical Imaging
This unit covers the fundamentals of physiological signal and medical image acquisition modalities, imparting students with a solid understanding of the underlying nature and characteristics of the acquired signals and images.
