The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) course is a full-time course, which includes a number of compulsory core study-units in Psychology and a number of elective study-units which students may choose from. It has also a research component, where students have to design and conduct a research project. The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree enables students to proceed with their studies in Psychology at Postgraduate level, both in Malta and abroad, provided other requirements are also satisfied.
Applicants must satisfy the General Entry Requirements for admission, namely, the Matriculation Certificate and Secondary Education Certificate passes at Grade 5 or better in Maltese, English Language and Mathematics.
Applicants must also satisfy the following Special Course Requirements:
An Intermediate Level pass at Grade C or better in Biology.
Applicants in terms of the 'maturity (adult learners) clause' are required to sit for a Biology Examination to be held on 9 September 2019. Successful applicants will then be required to sit for an interview during the last two weeks of September 2019. These dates cannot be changed. A sample of the test paper and the syllabus in connection with Biology test is available on the departmental website. The closing date for receipt of applications from applicants in terms of the 'maturity (adult learners) clause' (those who will be sitting for the exam and/or interview) is 31 August 2019. The closing date for other applicants is 30 September 2019.
The admission requirements are applicable for courses commencing in October 2019.
