The programme brings together the fields of Business and Information Technology. The practically applied study-units emphasise enterprise deployment and business, and relevant information technologies applications required to support the competitiveness and strategic advantage needs of businesses. Besides offering you a holistic practical knowledge base relevant to industry, this Honours degree programme also offers a solid foundation for further progression to postgraduate research. If you are interested in seeking employment in eventual management positions in a wide array of business environments including emergent new economy, technologically-driven sectors, then this is the ideal course for you. This degree is also useful if you are intent on entrepreneurially setting up your own business, exploiting opportunities presented by current dynamic business environments and evolving technologies. We also encourage you to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility programme for a diverse and multicultural learning experience.

Communication and Academic Skills Programme

The communication and academic skills programme complements students’ main course of study. It introduces them to writing and presenting as situated within academic contexts sensitive to specific disciplines and develops their competences for future careers.

This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Undergraduate Awards, 2019 for the Degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business and Information Technology - B.Sc. (Hons) Bus. & IT - under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy.
