The Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Professional Practice is designed to support you in advancing your subject knowledge, pedagogical expertise, and professional practice through flexible and personalised learning pathways. The programme enables you to critically engage with innovative pedagogies, evidence-based educational practices, and emerging technologies to address the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners. Through reflective and research-informed practice, you will strengthen your ability to create inclusive learning environments, evaluate educational policies and approaches, and apply state-of-the-art teaching strategies within your professional context. Delivered through blended learning modalities, the programme allows you to balance professional responsibilities with continued study. Its micro-credential structure provides the flexibility to select study units that align with your professional goals and complete 60 ECTS at your own pace over a maximum period of six academic years, while fostering lifelong learning, resilience, and professional confidence.
You may request exemption from study-units totalling not more than 30 ECTS credits. Requests for exemptions are to be submitted to the Faculty of Education in accordance with the RPL Guidelines available on the Faculty’s website.
A Permanent Teacher’s warrant together with one of the following qualifications:
the degree of Bachelor of Education (Honours) or
a first cycle degree together with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education or
a first cycle and/or second cycle degree or higher or
any other recognised teaching qualification.
In addition to the requirements indicated in the above paragraphs, applicants shall further be required to have been teaching full-time within licensed educational institutions for at least seven years.

The course shall extend over a period of two to six academic years of part time study. In any academic year students must register for not less than 10 and not more than 30 ECTS credits. Non EU Applicants:
Fees are charged by study unit and vary according to the number of ECTS credits. The fee per ECTS credit amounts to Eur180.
