DESCRIPTION | This study-unit covers the basics of the central nervous system starting with cytology and embryology and progressing to the review of the spinal cord and the brain stem. Considerable importance is given to the anatomy and examination of the various cranial nerves. The study-unit is completed by studies of the cerebrum, thalamus and limbic system.
