DESCRIPTION The basic functional units of a computer. The Central Processing Unit architecture. Number systems. Algorithms and Programs.

The DOS operating system.

Pascal as a third generation programming language; covering sequence, selection, iteration and arrays. The ideas behind modular programming will be introduced through a number of worked examples.
