DESCRIPTION This study-unit comprises the reading and translation of texts from Greek authors. The excerpts could be either original ones, or adapted to better meet the level reached by the students. The study-unit also involves a short performance, partly or wholly in Greek, as a collaborative and creative effort by the students themselves. This will eventually be performed to Departmental students, relatives and friends.

Study-unit Aims

The aims of the study-unit is to provide the students with an opportunity to read and translate graded excerpts from various Greek authors, in prose or in verse. This will ease the transition between the reading of simple beginners' prose and that of original Greek texts. The performance offers students the unique chance to act in Ancient Greek, while at the same time provide opportunity for greater teamwork and creative collaboration towards a common goal.
