TITLE Conflict, Religion and Reconciliation

DEPARTMENT Centre for the Study and Practice of Conflict Resolution

DESCRIPTION This study-unit is designed to analyze the ways in which world religions play a role in conflict, war, peacemaking, and conflict resolution. It explores processes of acknowledgment, reconciliation, forgiveness, and restitution. Understanding each religion’s values, worldview, and, especially, the hermeneutics through which the religion changes and evolves, are the keys to discovering conflict resolution methodologies that may be effective in contexts in which religion is playing some role.
