| DESCRIPTION | Students will be required to present a research proposal towards the start of their third year. Following Departmental approval of the proposal, a tutor will be designated for each project. Students will be expected to work in close consultation with tutors on their selected research topic. Dissertations are required to be around 12,000 words in length. Reading List: As advised by Supervisor. |

| ADDITIONAL NOTES | **September Assessment Session: Students who fail to obtain an overall pass mark will be re-examined in the Dissertation. However, the resit availability for the Oral Examination is at the discretion of the Board of Examiners. | ||||||||
