|TITLE||A Christian Understanding of God|
|LEVEL||02 - Years 2, 3 in Modular Undergraduate Course|
|DEPARTMENT||Fundamental and Dogmatic Theology, including Ecumenism|
Knowledge of philosophy or related studies
This unit treats the "adorable" mystery of God, that is, not the God of philosophical reflection but the God of existential religion. The "knowability" of God at the three levels of transcendental knowledge, metaphysical reflection and supernatural revelation is analysed, as is the articulation of Trinitarian doctrine as constitutive of revelation and Christian theology.
