DESCRIPTION - Elementary assertions. Elementary propositions; true, false and indefinite. How are elementary assertions useful?
- The negator. The mediate and immediate assertion of an elementary proposition. The double negation of an elementary proposition.
- The adjunctor. The mediate and immediate assertion of an adjunction. The double negation of an adjunction.
- Sound arguments. The effective scenario tableau.
- The conjunctor and subjunctor.
- Effective and classical dialogues and dialogue-based developments.
- Classical Beth tableaux.
- The all-quantor and the some-quantor. The soundness of arguments containing quantified propositions.
- Aristotelian propositions and their translation using quantors and junctors; their conversion and opposition. Syllogisms; testing their soundness by means of tableaux; direct and indirect reduction of syllogisms.
