| DESCRIPTION | The study-unit is intended to provide students with a sound understanding of the intersection between politics and economics, including business lobbying, public consultations, negotiations and conflict resolution. The political economy concept is conceptualised within the stewardship of green and blue economies in rural and maritime cities and regions. More specifically, the unit aims to map out the multi-strand relationships amongst stakeholders including policymakers, governing bodies and economic activity to ascertain sustainable development. In addition, this course aims to encourage students to question current economic models and explore other alternative ones. Reading List: A reading pack will be provided to students. |
