DESCRIPTION By the end of the last semester of the B.A. (Hons) Course, every Honours student is expected to have written, and submitted for examination, a dissertation of 18-20,000 words, exclusive of notes, bibliography, and appendices. Students should register for this study-unit during the final year of studies, but the topic must be chosen early in the second year of the Course, after consultation with the Head of Department, who will then assign a member of the academic staff to act as supervisor.

 
ADDITIONAL NOTES **September Assessment Session: Students who fail to obtain an overall pass mark will be re-examined in the Dissertation. However, the resit availability for the Oral Examination is at the discretion of the Board of Examiners.
