DESCRIPTION AI is revolutionising education, offering new opportunities for personalised learning, data-driven decision-making, and innovative teaching strategies. This unit provides educators and education officers with a comprehensive understanding of AI’s role in transforming learning environments. Participants will explore key AI concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing, and adaptive learning technologies, while gaining hands-on experience with AI-driven tools designed for education. The unit examines the impact of AI on curriculum development, student assessment, and administrative efficiency, equipping educators with practical skills to enhance both teaching and institutional management. Beyond its applications, the unit delves into the ethical and legal dimensions of AI in education, addressing critical issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the responsible use of AI-powered technologies. Educators will learn to critically assess AI’s influence on pedagogy and ensure that its integration aligns with educational best practices. Additionally, the unit provides insights into how AI is shaping the future of education, preparing participants to adapt to emerging trends and innovations. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, case studies, and hands-on projects, this unit empowers educators to become AI-literate leaders who can effectively integrate intelligent systems into teaching and learning. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the skills to harness AI’s potential while maintaining ethical standards, fostering student engagement, and driving educational innovation. Whether used to support personalised learning, automate administrative tasks, or enhance student outcomes, AI has become an essential tool for modern education, and this unit ensures that educators are prepared to navigate its evolving landscape with confidence and expertise.
