The Department of Leadership for Learning & Innovation aims at providing innovative modes of professional development, teaching and learning by promoting varied experiences that will influence learners working at different levels of education with the intent of enhancing the repertoire of skills, competences, values and attributes that make them better leaders in whatever capacity they choose to operate in.

It is a department that brings together a number of what we believe are engaging areas of study that link theory to practice. In fact, the areas gain sustenance from each other as we develop new forms of practices. The department focuses on the following main areas: technology-enhanced learning, mentoring, continuing professional development and leadership. Our Department is also responsible for field placement that sees to the teaching practicum of student teachers.

As a department we work closely with other departments within the Faculty, schools and other educational institutions both locally and abroad.

We play a role in both undergraduate and post-graduate courses and staff members are involved in various associations, local, European and international bodies, and actively participate in national and international projects and initiatives.
