The Gender and Sexualities Conference, organised by the Department of Gender and Sexualities, Faculty for Social Wellbeing in collaboration with Human Rights Directorate will take place at St James Cavalier (also known as Spazju Kreattiv) in Valletta on 6–7 May 2026.
This conference will bring together scholars, artists, activists, and practitioners from diverse fields to participate in person. Across two days of talks, panels, and creative interventions, the conference will explore gender and sexuality as lived experiences, political sites, and spaces of resistance. Grounded in critical, intersectional, and decolonial perspectives, it invites dialogue that challenges norms and imagines more just futures. The discussions will focus on:
