Although Malta is considered one of the safest places in Europe to live, pickpocketing is not uncommon in certain parts of the island. Please do not leave your handbags, laptops, mobiles lying around unattended – not even in the University library, in classrooms, in the canteen and other areas. It is also wise not to go out alone late at night.
Do keep in mind that driving is on the left-hand side of the road so be very cautious when crossing roads, driving and cycling.
The University is located close to a very busy road network and there are several underpasses (subway routes). Students are advised to use the underpasses and not seek to cross the busy roads when making their way to University/back home on foot.
